Coffee Cup

I am an avid coffee drinker since I was eight years old. I have seen my dad drink coffee in the morning during the lunch, after lunch, before dinner, after dinner and midnight snacks. Every time you went home after work never surprises me that the cup was full and filled with coffee. Like the famous quote "Like Father Like Son" (in the case of my daughter), my father is an avid coffee drinker.

However, in my years of college away from home, I have met different people with coats lab coats and nursing, met with different patients with different diseases had-and still, I wonder if the coffee is really good for my health and for the health of my father and many people out there who like me are avid consumers of coffee.

Thomas H. Lee, professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, Boston. The attribution of profits to major long-term studies, Lee says that "the long research shows that coffee consumption reduces the risk of dying prematurely from a heart attack or stroke, and improves productivity of beans, too. "However Upasna Kamineni, Vice Charities Apollo, and an active advocate for health issues, said," Coffee is both health and social risk, and drawbacks far outweigh the pros. "Kamineni, also the Director of Lifetime Wellness Rx, an organization of Apollo Group, which conducts talks health, evaluations and research camps and also undertakes projects based on lifestyle disorders, thinks it best to stay away beverage altogether. He added that too much caffeine in coffee can increase blood pressure and may stop dehydration. Add milk and sugar, and becomes a recipe for disaster, which is required to add extra kilos.

From Wikipedia, the Coffee contains several compounds known to affect human body chemistry. The coffee bean itself contains chemicals which are psychotropic substances for humans as a byproduct of its defense mechanism. These chemicals are toxic in large doses, or even in their normal amount.

According to the source, here are the lists of benefits that coffee can give, it was found some long research, but some have not yet shown much:

 • Reduced the risk of Alzheimer's disease and dementia
 • Reduced risk of gallstone disease
 • Reduced risk Parkinson's disease
 • cognitive performance
 • Analgesic improvement
 • Antidiabetic
 • Liver disease
 • Cancer
 • cardioprotective
 • Laxative / diuretic
 • Antioxidant
 • Gout

And these are the disadvantages of coffee:

 • Cancer
 • Gastrointestinal problems
 • Anxiety and sleep changes
 • Cosmetics
 • Cholesterol
 • Blood pressure
 • Effects on pregnancy
 • The iron-deficiency anemia
 • Coronary artery disease

So what's the verdict? Is coffee really beneficial to our health or not? Its up to us to choose and suffer or benefit in time.

Three decades after decisively trading fame and his superstar moniker for the spiritual devotion for which his restless '70s songs seemed a perpetual quest, the singer-songwriter born Steven Demetre Georgiou has successfully resurrected Cat Stevens's muse, if not his persona. The musician whose dedicated embrace of Islam embroiled him in controversy frequently sings its praises on An Other Cup, bo...
