Luwak Coffee

What you may or may not know is that coffee beans are a perishable item. And not even get me to buy ground coffee before! The conclusion is that as soon as coffee beans are ground, they will go rancid within hours. This means absolutely not a good idea to buy pre-ground coffee, because it is obsolete. Said this, there is a right and a wrong way to store fresh coffee beans to make sure you get the most in all the freshness at your disposal.

First, many people feel it's a good idea to store fresh beans in the freezer because it "preserves the taste." Whoever started this rumor has misled many men because it is far from the truth. When you place fresh coffee beans or ground coffee in the freezer, juice dramatically than the essential oils, that are responsible for giving the coffee its flavor and taste. This means that coffee storage in the freezer will taste of a severe deficit, and you will notice a difference in your cup of flat and dull and Joe.

In general, if you want to store coffee in the best way possible, then you need to keep it free of moisture, air, heat and light. Got all that? This means that the best way to store your coffee beans are in a cool dark place like a cupboard or pantry. This place should also be dry and free from moisture to prevent the beans go stale. Again, you should not store their grain in the freezer or refrigerator, as they contain moisture, and also beans sap their essential oils. Nor is it a good idea to store your coffee beans in warmer areas, as close to furnace or even in direct sunlight. Note that any counter space that is exposed to direct sunlight is also an ideal place to store coffee beans cool.

As the container is, you need not remove their grain from their original packaging. It's a good idea to use a glass or ceramic can airtight seal to store their grain. You can also use a metal container which is nonreactive to store your fresh grains. It is useful to keep your the beans in a clear glass jar or plastic to store in a cool, dark place. However, if you have your grain stored in the counter, you use a container opaque to be tight to prevent the grains are exposed to direct sunlight.

As you can see, it does pay to put some thought into the storage of coffee. I bet you never thought that the beans were so sensitive! However, you will notice a big difference in the taste of your coffee cup when you take the time to store their beans properly.
